With the objective of providing the information about the right way of using social media, department of journalism of Krupanidhi Degree College organised a guest lecture on “Digital and Social Media Expertise” on 12-09-2019 for BA students. The speaker of the day was Mr.Alvin Mendonca, Chief Reporter, Bengaluru Bureau, News 18 Network.
Sir Alvin delivered a talk on Journalists benefits, types of social media in the present scenario and future expectations. He also shed light on facilities available to start a new company and role of public relations. Then sir differentiated between digital and social media with few real time examples. Finally, Mr.Alvin clarified the queries of the journalism students. Therefore the session was advantageous and effective for future young journalists.
