International students studying in full-time academic programs may be able to work off campus for up to 20 hours per week during the academic session, and full time during reguraly scheduled breaks.
This can help you learn more about the Canadian workplace, develop new skills, and make valuable connections in your community.

Not only do you get to earn money and develop contacts, you also graduate with a degree and relavant career experience.
You can also gain valuable work experience on campus with a part-time job related to your program of study. These positions are flexible around your class schedule and help you get references for other employment or graduate school. Some of these opportunities involve work on specific research projects with faculty
If your main goal is to secure references for other employment or graduate school, get involved with volunteering at UFV. Being a volunteer is an excellent way to meet people and gain co-curricular recognition.
After you have graduated from your program, you can apply to work in Canada. This allows you to gain strategic work experience and marketable skills that will stand out on your resume.
