Krupanidhi College of Physiotherapy organized a 3 - day Annual Sports Meet from November 4th 2022 onwards.

The Sports meet opened with Oath-taking ceremony in the FUTSAL ground, KGI, Bangalore. During the oath taking ceremony, students stood up in their house groups lead by their captains holding their respective house flags. The four houses donned their colors (Mc Kenzie: Yellow, Bobath: Blue, Maitland: Red, Butler: Green) and proudly represented their houses.

On day one, boys and girls futsal matches were held where both the Mc Kenzie boys and Mc Kenzie girls team won the finals.

November 4th and November 5th events were held in the KGI campus itself. The events included volley ball (boys and girls), Basketball (boys and girls), Throw ball – Girls, Cricket- Girls, Tug of war (boys and girls), Chess and carrom matches. It was amazing to see the students’ enthusiasm during the day. The fitness challenge was an added feather to the hat of Sports Meet. It included plank hold- 2 min, jumping jacks-50, squats-30, running-100 m and push up-30, for boys and plank hold-1 min, squats- 30, jumping jacks- 30, run-100 m and high knees-15 for girls.

The track and field events were organized on the third day at the Sports Ground, St. Johns Medical College, Koramangala, Bangalore. The event began with a March Past along with the band of Asia Pacific World School, Bangalore. The College Prefect, Ms. Sharanya Jamboja lead the March Past with the College Flag followed by houses lead by their House Captains holding their respective flags.

The inauguration of the track and field events was done by Dr. Sam Paul Isaac, Director KGI, who lit the KCPT Sports torch and passed on to the house representatives, who together lit the Olympic Flame which ignited the passion of sporting spirit. The Physical Education Director, Lt Vijay gave a sense of true sportsman ship and shared his experiences with the athletes of the day.

Director, KGI Dr. Sam Paul Isaac lifted the spirits of the sports participants with his message of participation being more important than winning.

The day saw the events of sprint and races (100m, 200m, 400m- boys and girls), Relay race, Shotput, Discus throw, Long jump and the famous Boys Cricket and Girls Kho -Kho Games.

It was bright sunny beautiful day that witnessed the true sportsmanship among the students of KCPT.

The Valedictory session was held at Pallidium Hall, KGI on 12th Nov Where the Principal, Dr. Milan Anand and Director, Dr. Sam Paul Isaac felicitated the winners of individual and team events. The best Sportsman Male and female was awarded to Mr. Sanjay and Ms. Thinley from Final year, Bachelors of Physiotherapy.

The Valedictory concluded by awarding the much-awaited Overall Sports Championship Award 2022, which was bagged by team McKenzie.
