World Physiotherapy Day observed on the 8th September throughout the world to mark the unity and solidarity of the physiotherapy community was celebrated with zest and enthusiasm at Krupanidhi College of Physiotherapy. On this occasion, a plethora of events were conducted throughout the day. The event was blessed with the presence of our dear Director and Dean Dr. Sam Paul Isaac who addressed the students and faculty and stressed upon the importance of having passion for the profession and how important it is to treat each and every patient with care and empathy. He also emphasised on the need to have a proper governing council so as to streamline the physiotherapy curriculum and upgrade the profession.

As a part of the celebrations, a special physiotherapy camp was organized for the students and staff of KGI. The physiotherapy undergraduate students also performed a skit on the importance of physiotherapy in different fields of medicine. This was followed by intense rounds of Debate competition wherein four groups participated and presented their views on some of the very engrossing topics such as Tab or Textbooks, Technology makes socialising easier or harder. The final round where the two finalist teams debated was on “Physiotherapy Licence to be made Universal or not”. The competition was judged by Dr. Sam Paul Isaac, and Dr. Milan Anand, Principal KCPT. The day further proceeded with an interesting session of Quiz wherein four teams participated. The rounds were on current affairs, sports and physiotherapy. To add a surprise element to the entire event,there was a flash mob performed by the physiotherapy students depicting the life of a physio student. The daylong event came to an end with a physio walkathon by the faculty and students of Physiotherapy department around the campus creating awareness about physiotherapy and its importance.
