To provide analytical skill and knowledge to the students in the accounting stream through analysis of financial statement of a company, Department of M.com, Krupanidhi Degree College, has arranged a workshop on “Financial Statement Analysis” on 12th October 2019. The Guest speaker of the day was Mr. Yugesh Madhivanan, Asst.Vice President of-Risk Management operations- Yes bank Ltd.
The resource person mainly concentrated on the topics that can be practically helpful in accounting and auditing field. Sir explained about how the balance sheet of a particular company can be analyzed and also to know whether the company is earning profits yearly or they are into losses, through calculation of net working capital, ratio analysis, assessment of cash flows through practically analyzing of a company’s financial health. He also briefly focused on the audit report relating to the disqualification of directors, disputed and undisputed liabilities, and default of loans of financial institutions, contingent liabilities, qualified financial statement and emphasis of matter.
Overall, the aim of the program to successfully initiate industry interaction and practical knowledge transfer to the student community was achieved.
