Gurukula has been the traditional education system of India, which can be traced back to its most ancient literature called Vedas. The word “Gu” means darkness, “ru” means removal and “kul” means house or domain. Guru is a person who enlightens you and “kul refers to the domain of Guru.  In the Vedic Age, the boys were sent to Gurukula or home of the “Acharayas” for education. They led a life of chastity and purity, serving the Acharya and gaining knowledge. They acquired many of the qualifications of the teacher (acharya). The word “acharya” in Sanskrit language means the one who teaches by example. Although Gurukula has given way to the “modern educational system”, this traditional system of education has been of a great help in forming the modern Gurukula System. Keeping in mind the ever changing competitive market scenario, Dr Suresh Nagpal, Chairman of Krupanidhi College invented the modern Gurukula System, which is followed diligently at Krupanidhi College.

It is our belief that a teacher affects eternity. He can never tell where his influence stops.

In today’s scenario, the technology is at its best, but it is still just a tool till the time you do not have the guidance to run it. In terms of getting the students working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important.

We at Krupanidhi make sure to provide the students with the best staff as the first component of the Gurukula System is the Guru (Teacher). Though in today’s world the teachers have little control over the university policy, curriculum, choice of texts, or special placements of students, but we can say with conviction  that Krupanidhi  teachers have a great deal of autonomy inside the classroom which itself takes care of the above independent variables.

In teaching one cannot see the fruits of a day’s work. But we train the students step by step to face the most difficult challenges of the world by stressing on the development of the overall personality. This overall personality development is just not a mere term in Krupanidhi; The students undergo training modules which enhance their skills in

  • Communication
  • Confidence building
  • Leadership
  • Motivation
  • Etiquettes & manners

The main objective of teaching a child is to enable him to get along with his teacher. To achieve this one must treat the child as one’s own. “You cannot impart education in a  true sense to a child until you consider the child as your own” Bond building between the student and the teacher is given prime importance. Students are not treated as soldiers but as friends, so that they get a congenial environment to practice and come out with their hidden talents. The students are counseled to assist them at any point to make educational training, occupational choices and manage their careers.
At some stage in a student’s life he/she will encounter difficulties due to:

  • Hormonal changes during puberty
  • Drug abuse
  • Emotional lows during family disputes

All of these may lead to a lot of physical and emotional turbulence. Student may lose out the most precious time in their lives.

At this stage a teacher acts like a friend, philosopher and guide for the student and protects student’s future.

The Modern Gurukula System followed at Krupanidhi has passed the test of time. Since the inception of this college, we have reverently followed this system to make the students confident to a level that they refuse to accept position number two in their lives.
KRUPANIDHI STUDENT IS ALWAYS AT NUMBER 1.
